ISAH MUHAMMAD DVA: NUPEWOOD’s ACE EDITOR IS DEAD

The sad incident of his demise occurred on Saturday 8th October 2016. Born in Bida. He started his education career at Islamiyya school, then attended primary and post primary schools in ancient town. Thereafter, he studied Mass Communication & Journalism at Justice Fati Lami College of Arts and Islamic Legal Studies, Minna and Federal Polytechnic Bida.
Isah DVA joined the Nupewood in 2009/2010 introduced by multi-talented director, Idris DVA who eventually became his boss in the Nupe motion picture industry. In fact, he adopted the acronym ‘DVA’ from his boss to his name because of the genial relationship built between them over time. He was also very close late Etsu Edzo, Sadisu Mohammed who made it possible to be part of the crew of the most films produced by the Eyekondunu Film Academy. Isah DVA was part of film, Éwó è Gbin 1,2,3,4&5 (2010/2011) where he played a trio rule as a screenplay, continuity, and light man. He also screenplay in DVA movies' film - Ryatwa 1,2&3 (2011).
Isah DVA shifted from Screenplay and continuity role to film editor and started with a comedy/drama film - Yikangi Tela (2011), then Hadiza Umar's Soko Tsa Kpe o (2011) with Umar Farouk Makavilli. In addition, his footprints could also be seen in the films below.
He wrote the stories of the following films:

Isah DVA’s demise has left a wide gap in the industry and his contribution to the Nupewood (Nupe Entertainment Industry) is unimaginable, and he will be missed by the players of this vibrant industry.
